STRIKE Tactical Solutions Opens Security Training Division!
STRIKE Tactical Solutions is proud to introduce the addition of the STRIKE Security Training Division to its curriculum. Current security training programs are minimal, inconsistent and ineffective.
We at STRIKE recognize that many of today’s security officers have received inadequate training that has not properly prepared them for the job. We believe that a properly trained and prepared security officer can reduce liability and increase public safety.
STRIKE Security classes include: Basic Security Officer Training (IDPR 20 hour class), Armed Security Officer Training (IDPR 40 hour class), Monadnock Baton (basic, advanced and instructor Certification), Defensive Tactics and Handcuffing, Taser, OC and CPR certification.
We can also customize a class based on your agency's needs. We offer classes at our training facility located in Lake Zurich, Illinois. We also have mobile training teams to conduct training at your facility.
STRIKE Tactical is pleased to announce that Anthony (Tony) Joseph will head the STRIKE Tactical Solutions Security Training Division. Tony and all STRIKE Security Division instructors are State certified.
After graduating high school, Tony joined the Marines. In 1986, he was deployed with the Marine Corps Security Forces to the Republic of the Philippines. While with the Marine Security Forces, he faced varying terrorist threat levels.
Tony was transferred to the Second Marine Division where he was assigned to the 3RD Battalion 8TH Marines, Second Marine Division. In 1988 he was deployed to the Middle East as a member of the Fast Reactionary Team. During his time with the Fast Reactionary Helicopter Company, Tony started teaching squad tactics.
While in the Mediterranean, Tony, then a Corporal, cross-trained with units from the French Foreign Legion, Israeli Defense Force and the Italian Naval Forces. In December 1989, Tony was deployed to Panama with the 3RD Battalion 6TH Marines for Operation Just Cause.
In 1993, Tony was hired by the Vernon Hills Police Department. After six years, he tested for the Waukegan Police Department and was hired in 1999. Tony has been assigned to the Patrol, Detective, Juvenile and Traffic Divisions. In 2001, he became a member of the Waukegan Police Department Rapid Response Team (SWAT) where he is currently assigned as the Sniper Team Leader. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2003.
Tony has conducted numerous training classes and has written courses involving security and firearms training. Tony currently instructs for the Department of Defense / Department of the Navy in civilian contract security.
Tony holds a Bachelors degree from Columbia College and an associate’s degree from the College of Lake County.
