To all customers who may have purchased Shot Stop Ballistic Plates,
It has just come to our attention that Homeland Security / DOJ has come to a decision as to ShotStop Ballistics / Vallmar Iliev and the faulty armor they produced. Please see below for information pertaining to what information we received. There will be a link at the bottom of the article telling you what you’ll need to do to get your plates registered.
Thank you for responding to Homeland Security Investigations safety bulletin dated 19 October 2023, and Department of Justice Press Release dated 26 February 2025, concerning Shot Stop Ballistics and Vallmar – Vests Failing Ballistic Testing.
In order to best assist you with your options please respond to the seven questions below:
1 – Agency/Company name, address, phone number, name of Point of Contact and their contact information
2 – What product your agency purchased from Shot Stop Ballistics or Vallmar and the supporting documentation (i.e., purchase orders, invoices, contracts).
3 – Photos of the product to include: overall photo and images of any labels, model numbers, lot numbers, serial numbers, and country of origin information on the product.
4 – Any injuries that have occurred while utilizing Shot Stop Ballistics or Vallmar ballistic protective equipment.
5 – Does your agency require the products to be “Made in America” and if so, why did you believe these products complied?
6 - Are you an individual/private purchase or is this an agency purchase?
7 – Was this purchased with a Grant? If so, state or federal, which grant?

If you previously replied to this email prior to the DOJ Press release on 26 February 2025, and did not specify if your purchase was with grant funds (see question 7) please respond with information and mark your email as such. If you replied to this email previously and did not include receipts or invoice, please respond with those attachments and mark your email appropriately.
